Waiting for November 17 - Versace for H&M

Let's have a look at the Versace for H&M collection that will be in stores November 17...At least we know if it is the case of starting the queue…

Overall, there are a lot of painted pieces that I would never even bring to the dressing room, but that is in pure Versace-style and I don’t usually like it…

While I was going through the pictures the mood was more or less “umm, maybe, why not, not too bad, if there is no queue…”

Ecco una selezione dei pezzi “non male”...

Here a selection of the “not-too-bad” pieces…

Poi ho visto QUESTO e mi sono innamorata…ci vediamo in fila!

Then I saw THIS and I fell in love…see you in the queue!

Colonna sonora: Adele - Rolling in the deep

Did you remember "Twirlin' Runway Styles"? It was one of my favourite games when I was a child, I think I created and recreated all the possible combinations, before moving on to designing (drawing) real fashion collections (yes, I could draw very nicely when I was a child, then I lost the gift growing up and now I do awful mark-ups)...
My "unbusiness" in the afternoon yesterday made me discover the virtual dressing room by H&M and I felt like coming back to childhood....
Here the looks I created (I really own some of the stuff, not the body of the models though)

The most copied dresses of this season

Colonna sonora: Lady Gaga - Edge of glory

Looks like the designers of the so called "high street fashion" lines, appreciated a lot the A/W 2011 collection by Stella McCartney...I guess we would see a triumph of meshed polka dots not only on red carpets this winter! (please hit me if you see me with any of these dresses in a club)

These uncertain seasons produce uncertain outfits: last Thursday there were almost 30 degrees (in Milan), Friday less then 18. That offered me an incredible opportunity, punctually, to make me wonder of the variety of human beings that populate our cities. And seeing in the underground the girl wearing shorts, tank top and uggs sitting next to the 40-years-old woman with coat and 80 denier tights, the man in carrier wearing a duvet gilet on the pinstriped suit and the fashion victim using the mink jacket to warm up her bare arms and legs, I wonder: do the battle against conformism and the achievement of our individuality (or rule) worth the inevitable hot flushes or chilblains that come when we choose clothes not considering weather?
The answer is not up to me, but I'll share a few ideas of what to wear without suffering low/high temperature though... And it doesn't mean that we must become a depressed and standardized beige trench-wearing-army!

OT. Korean wedding

When we opened this blog it was not supposed to be a personal diary (and no pictures of us), but this time I must break the rule and post something about the wedding I attended last weekend in Seoul because it was AMAZING. I was there as the groom is one of my colleagues and that was my first time in Korea (and Asia).

The ceremony was a traditional Korean ceremony, something that doesn't occurr in all the weddings (it was the first time also for the majority of the Korean guests I spoke with) and the couple and family were wearing traditional dresses...only the bride had 3 different outfits!

The first part of the ceremony, that took place at the Korean Museum of Furniture, saw the couple bowing in front of the senior family members and receiving their greetings (all wearing the traditional outfit)...the guests had to stand outside the room (and so my pictures are not that great!)

After that, there was the real religious ceremony inside, and the bride and groom were wearing the traditional costumes...she had this amazing hair sculpture with jewelry, that was very heavy but also very beautiful...

Then the young folks moved to the restaurant with the purple bus that carried us around and the party started with a delicious buffet and music...and drinks of course! Here the most touching moment, the speaches from the best man, bridesmaid and family members, took place and the couple showed up in "western style" wedding outfit...since this is a fashion blog, I need to say the bride's dress was incredibly nice, minimal and elegant and she looks stunning! (by Jenny Packham)

Speaking of fashion, that is my dress, that I matched with black accessories...all the other guests also wore formal dresses, all of them very nice and compliant with the rules :)

I am so happy for the couple and will be always thankful for this incredible experience!

W gli sposi!
