Friday night heels

Nella mia non piu' tanto recente visita Milanese, complice un pomeriggio di shopping con "la Vitto" (come dicono al nord) e delle inaspettate svendite, ho acquistato questi tronchetti neri...le ho ribattezzate "i tacchi del venerdi' sera", perche' sono alte abbastanza da non poterci resistere una intera serata in discoteca (anche se la prima volta le ho messe al T35 il giorno in cui le ho comprate e volevo tagliarmi i piedi a fine serata) ma sono abbastanza fighe da metterle per una serata cena + drink (che e' il tipico programma del mio venerdi' sera ultimamente)

In my not any more recent visit to Milan, thanks to a shopping afternoon with "la Vitto" (as italians from the North use to say) and some unexpected sales, I bought these black ankle boots...I renamed them "Friday night heels", because they are high enough for me to not resist them an entire clubbing night (even if I wore them at T35 the night I bought them and wanted to cut my feet by the end of the night) but they are fashion enough to use them for a nigth of dinner + drinks (that is the typical outline of my friday nights lately)

Con l'avvicinarsi delle feste (a Londra siamo in piena atmosfera Natalizia), i negozi si popolano di suggerimenti per l'abbigliamento della notte di Capodanno...quest'anno e' tutto un sbrilluccicare di paillettes...allora, quale miglior modo per festeggiare l'inizio di un anno che si spera sia migliore di quello che volge al termine, se non ricoprendosi d'oro? Io ci sto seriamente pensando...

Dopo 2 anni che abito a Londra ho superato i miei pregiudizi (anche in fatto di makeup) e ho fatto 2 acquisti molto British...un abito di Topshop (come quello della foto ma in color vinaccia) e il rossetto rosso di Kate for Rimmel (Moss, non Middleton sia chiaro!)

After 2 years in London I overcame my prejudices (also speaking about makeup) and bought two things very british...a Topshop dress (like the one in the picture but in Burgundy) and the red lipstick Kate by Rimmel (Moss, not Middleton leet me be clear!)

Little black coat

L'unica cosa che mi addolcisce il fatto che si stia avvicinando l'inverno e Londra sia di nuovo fredda e uggiosa e' che posso indossare questo nuovo cappottino che ho preso durante il mio tour Milanese da Liu Jo...(non sono io qwuella con sta faccia qui, sia chiaro)

Ho preso anche qualche altra cosina, la collezione quest'anno e' davvero carina (la si puo' vedere qui www.liujo.it)...purtroppo pero' per fare nuovi acquisti dovro' attendere le feste di Natale, perche' qui c'e' solo un mini corner da Harrods con 3 cose...

The only thing that makes sweet the fact that winter is coming and London is again cold and rainy is that I can wear this new coat that I bought during my Milan tour at Liu Jo...(just to be clear, it is not me the one with this face in the picture)


I also bought some other stuff,  the collection is very nice this season...(it is available here www.liujo.it)...however, to buy more I need to wait for Christmas holidays, as here there is only a mini corner  in Harrods with 3 things only...

ACCESSORI BICOLORI

Quest'inverno, per combattere la crisi nera che ci attanaglia, sembra che aiuti indossare i colori. Non solo più colori che mai, ma colori in coppie, pieni, puri: benvenute nel mondo del bicolore!
Basta con la noia del grigio-nero-tortora-marrone ton sur ton, o meglio: vestiamoci pure con questi colori (i nostri armadi se sono zeppi) ma ravviviamoli con accessori bicolor, rendono subito più nuovo il look!

Winter in white

L'idea di vestirmi di bianco in inverno non mi ha mai convinta fino in fondo, soprattutto a causa del mio pallore invernale che fa tanto effetto fantasmino...pero' qualche sabato fa, presa da un attacco acuto di shopping, sono capitata nel negozio di Carnaby Street di Aqua by Aqua e sono rimasta incantata da questo abitino e non ho potuto non comprarlo...

L'ho indossato ad un compleanno con calze nerissime, le mie amate Louboutin e la clutch nera Gucci che porto ovunque...e un rossetto rossissimo!

Ps. Aqua by Aqua e' una linea emergente specializzata in vestiti abbastanza eccentrici in stile "dress to impress" che seguo da un po'...www.aquabyaqua.com

The idea of dressing in white in winter has never completely convinced me, in particular because of my pale skin that gives the "little gost  " effect...but a couple of Saturdays ago, due to a strong attack of shopping need, I ended up in the Carnaby Street shop of Aqua by Aqua and this dress enchanted me and I couldn't not buy it... 

I wore it at a birthday party with very black tights, my beloved Louboutin and the Gucci clutch that I bring everywhere...and a very red lipstick!

Tube fashion - 2

- Top: prendere la metropolitana la mattina e’ come fare un viaggio tropicale, dato il caldo e l’umidita’ che regnano sovrane...ogni mattina mi sento Dante che discende negli inferi, poiche’ man mano che la scalamobile scende verso il binario il caldo aumenta, sia che sia Agosto, sia che sia Dicembre...E’ per questo che bisogna verstirsi a cipolla e fare attenzione che gli strati si riescano a sfilare e reinfilare agevolmente (di solito camminando da e verso il treno)...io personalmente adoro i cardigan in ufficio e e opto per il colloalto solo all’ultimo strato, cosi’ non devo sfilare niente dalla testa mentre sono in metro...

- Borsa: pur essendo la mia grande passione, devo ammettere che la scelta della borsa da pendolare e’ dettata principalmente dalla comodita’...le borse a bauletto infatti sono esteticamente molto belle, ma alquanto scomode quando si deve cercare di mantenersi in equilibrio in metro e contemporaneamente mantenere cappotto, maglione, sciarpa e quant’altro... alla stessa maniera, le borse a tracolla risultano un inghippo quando si cerca di reinfilarsi velocemente tutti gli strati sulla lunga scala mobile di Canary Wharf prima di vedere la luce e prendere la broncopolmonite...le  scelta ricade sulle borse dal manico lungo da portare a spalla...io ho optato per questi modelli di Burberry che sono comodi e anche stilosi...

- Top: taking the Tube in the morning is like a tropical trip, given the hot climate and humidity that rule inside...every morning I feel like Dante going down the netherworld, because by the time I go down towards the platform the warm increases, being it August or December…that’s why you need to adopt the “onion style” and make sure the layers are easy to take out and put back (usually walking to and from the train)…I personally like cardigans and jackets and use the high neck only for the last layer, so I don’t need to take anything out from the head when I am in the Tube…

- Bag: even if bags are my biggest passion, I must admit that the choice of the “commuting” bag is mainly driven by comfort...trunk bags are indeed aesthetically very beautiful, but very uncomfortable when you are trying to hold balance in the Tube and at the same time hold coat, sweater, scarf and so on…in the same way, across body bags are an obstacle when you try to quickly put on again all the layers on the long Canary Wharf escalator before seeing the light and getting bronchial pneumonia…the choice falls to shoulder bags…I opted for these Burberry models that are comfy and stylish…
